Julia's continuing to improve!

When I left my sister early this afternoon, she was in great spirits having gotten all set up in her new digs in a regular floor room (and a very nice one at that)!!  Julia has a spectacular view of the marina from her room :)

I am back in Athens now, and will soon be passing the reins for the blog over to my mom and sister (since she is doing SO GREAT now)!  But I just got off the phone with my dad, and he said he and Jules were on a walk and she had walked at least 100 yards without getting out of breath!  This is spectacular news!

Thank you, everyone, for all the love and support you have sent Julia's (and my!) way.  It does such wonderful things for her morale (which, as you could imagine, has been dropping a bit just from being stuck in the hospital for so long).  Keep it coming!  She has really enjoyed getting mail, too!  You can send her letters and care packages to my parents' address (797 River Road, Johns Island, SC 29455), and they will be certain it gets to her.

Also, Julia will be ready for visitors soon, and we are going to get a semi-schedule going so that you guys can coordinate yourselves and avoid her having 6 people show out at once, which could be exhausting for her!

Before stopping by to see her, please send her or my mom a text message to make sure everyone is decent ;)

The link for the "schedule" is here:  https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AvmJHU7ahNwydEcwOUdySzd1NmtLU1hnWk9UMUQ2eVE

Much Love,
-Louisa

  2. Louisa, thank you so much for keeping the blog up to date to let us know how Jules is doing! You've done an amazing job!

Ma Carter, you've got some mighty big bloggin' shoes to fill!

Jules, do they have any idea how long you will be in the hospital? Thinking of you and hoping you get stronger by the minute! :-)
