"Today was truly remarkable. On admission, Julia's echocardiogram showed significant heart strain that her cardiologist thought would probably resolve with time. He repeated the echo today, confident he was repeating the study too soon to see a difference. After talking to Julia, he called me. The pressure in the artery from the heart to the lungs had dropped to nearly normal range in only 3 days...he had originally thought weeks or more. With this amount of improvement, he is confident of a full recovery to normal.
The return to work forecast has been changed to "at home next week and then back to work".
The
only thing keeping her in the hospital now is getting her coumadin
level up to a point that it is safe to stop the heparin. My guess is
that she will go home Monday...please remember I am a plumber.
Today was another major hallelujah. Love, Bill/Dad"
How truly blessed are we to have such a wonderful Dad...and a doctor to boot! :)
Love, L
